It's normal if they've grabbed on to a piece that's likewise large. If they're going back for the smaller ones after the large pieces interruption up they're fine.

@debcc: I was gonna suggest that thread also. You beat me to it! 😋

@lmercado84: Is the fish new? Information technology could still be settling into its new environment, which includes a different nutrition than the LFS was providing. The adjacent stride would be testing water parameters and request about its beliefs.

Although I've been using the strips and hear they aren't as accurate as the liquid examination kit so tomorrow I will be going to get that and besides maybe unlike food. Im also going to accept a sample of the water and have Petsmart exam it for me.

Mostly just the affections and balas. Once in a while the others practice information technology simply that's unremarkably when it'southward a big flake. The nutrient I believe is tetra something with shrimp. Can't recollect the name. Information technology has a picture of an angel fish on it though.

Hello again Imercado84,

My angelfish regularly spits out and then eats the same piece of fleck nutrient once again. This is fairly normal for them and for alot of fish. Equally for the Bala, they should have flakes merely y'all could also try frozen alkali shrimp or blood worms to run into if your angel/bala have those. While these shouldn't exist the principal food source, one time or twice a week isn't bad, and I would be very surprised and certainly think something is wrong if both species didn't take blood worms or brine shrimp. Keep us posted.

Thomas

Fish sometimes spit out nutrient if its also big. My guppies try to eat something bigger than them, and they keep spitting it out and trying once more until the get bored and permit it fall to the cory cats.

They seem to be doing well now. Nazira03 since you take guppies, do they usually swim around the tank? I but got 2 of them today and theyre simply staying at the top of the tank and not swimming around like my other fish are.

Hello once more Imercado84,

How large is your tank? Can you lot specify the blazon of catfish you bought? Likewise by tiger striped tetras I assume you mean tiger barbs? If so how many did y'all get? Tiger barbs are best kept in groups simply even in the groups they are known fin nippers and then they would probable selection on the guppies and your angelfish.

Thomas

Hi! When I first got my guppies, they did stay in one identify and hide. Now, they know when I come I feed them, and then they go to the surface. They are merely getting used to the new environment. Give them a day or two, and they'll be all around the tank.

Just to make sure, what size is the tank? How many fish are in there? What kind of fish are in there? Do you see the guppies do or take anything weird? (White specs, shaking, etc.) 👍

Gatsby and nazira03 I take a 55 gallon hexagon tank. Yep I meant tiger barbs and I believe my catfish are corydora catfish. I just got 2 of them. I accept a full of 15 fish. 2 Angelfish, 2 vals sharks, 2 catfish, 2 guppies, ii neon tetras, 1 How-do-you-do-fin neon, and v tiger barbs total. Nazira03 my guppies don't await sick any, they just don't seem social like I thought they would be. I thought they were customs fish simply they seem to just stick together on the peak of the tank. But it is twenty-four hours ane since I got them so I'll wait a few days to see if they warm upward to the other fish.
